About Us
Our Festival
The Laguna Beach Film Festival is a showcase of art and culture films and filmmakers from around the world curated to entertain and inspire film lovers while tapping into the incredible art and cultural history of Southern California and Laguna Beach while complimenting the iconic art festivals and the Coast Film Festival (CFF) in Laguna Beach.
The idea of the festival came from the incredible community feedback when we started CFF in 2019 and learned that there is a significant interest in film and films of different genre that went beyond the Coast Film Festival's mission of showcasing documentary films about adventure, action sports and the outdoors and using the power of film to inspire positive change.
In 2020 The LBFF co-hosted the CFF and will continue to be its local partner as the CFF continues to expand globally. Due to Covid-19 restrictions the events were modified and held at The Ranch Laguna Beach November 12-15 and online. During the three days we showed 60 documentary films and 20 panelists presented to 800 guests.
In 2021 The LBFF will once again co-host the CFF in November and will also produce film screening events throughout the year.

Our Mission
The LBFF is dedicated to growing the film culture in Laguna Beach and Southern California and will produce a series of film and speaker events that showcase independent filmmakers and their important stories about art, culture and important social topics from around the world.
